MY BREAKOUT ROUTINE

Our breakout condition might be different, but I hope these tips might help you guys in repairing your skin barrier.

What I usually do when I have skin breakout?

1. AVOID acne or oil-control product
2. ALWAYS start with a minimal routine.
3. DON’T be stress & rush things.
4. CHECK your surrounding and diets.
* If your skin condition become worst, go for a consultation with doctors or specialist.

My minimal routine;

1. CLEANSE
- Cleanse your skin with simple formulated gentle cleanser. I know that there are so many range of gentle and low pH cleanser. So, choose for the one with simple ingredient because some ingredient might have some ingredient which doesn’t suit your skin.
- Cleanse your face with face wash twice a day. If you want to remove makeup or sunscreen for other purpose, you can use micellar water or makeup remover.

2. MOISTURISE MOISTURISE MOISTURISE!
Why I choose moisturiser first over toner? The main function of moisturiser is to hydrate skin and to reinforce the skin barrier. So, you can choose for any suitable type of moisturiser which good for your skin. You can choose the one with Ceramide in it as it helps to repair skin barrier.

3. SUNSCREEN
This is one is a must because sunscreen is your skin protection from sun damages. Sunscreen can avoid your skin from enlarged pores, pigmentation or even worst is skin cancer. That’s what we called prevention is better than cure.

For soothing; I usually used Calamine Lotion. It helps to calm redness, itchyness, rashes and bumps. You guys also can go for other soothing ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Snail mucin, Centella (pegaga) and other soothing ingredients that suits your skin.

For acne-treatment;
1. Retacnyl tretinoin
I personally prefer tretinoin as it gives quick acne treatment. My dermatologist prescribed me with retacnyl tretinoin 0.05%. Its a lil bit drying. For a beginner, can try with 0.25% first.
2. Benzoyl peroxide
For benzoyl peroxide, I’m using 5%. This one you can buy at watson. But for it’s not as effective as tretinoids but it helps to kill new pimples. I’ve used it since last year but for now I sting my face after I used steroid cream because of my skin allergy before.

(You can try other pimple gel that suit your skin too like tea tree oil, differin or any other pimple gel that suits you)

If I suffer super dry ad flaky skin, I usually stick with this minimal routine for a week. After that, I will slowly add toner and other skincare product for my skin.
For other type of breakout, you can slowly add your routine in 1-2 week time in order to be sure that your skin barrier already good enough.

I would not suggest any product for you guys as our skin is so difficult to be jugde fuhhh. But, I will share some product that good for me.
Disclaimer: Our skin are different, whatever might be suitable for me, might not suits you.
